Bass Rock - near Edinburgh
Scottish Landscape Awards selected image

This Fine Art Black and White Print entitled - ‘Bass Rock - River Forth’ - is from Lindsay's most resent Scottish portfolio of seascape images.
The Bass Rock is a world renowned bird sanctuary, which is home to the world’s largest colony of 150,000 Northern Gannets. The rock with it’s bird population is described famously by naturalists as "one of the wildlife wonders of the world”.
The image was captured with the last vestiges of a summer sunset hitting the rock, thereby rendering the rock as white from the reflections of the thousands of nesting birds.
